Hong Kong Professor Allan Chan wanted to create a sustainable mannequin that could be programmed with any measurements to morph to the desired size.
Mannequins (or dummies) of all different shapes and sizes line the walls at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Textiles and Clothing institute.
The University received the dummies as a donation, mostly from large clothing chains. With the average size and shape of customer’s bodies constantly changing, companies currently get rid of their mannequins every few years.
