As you may have read on my previous post about the makeup course I did, I decided to purchase a brand new Zoeva Vegan Prime 10-piece Brush set.
On the course (see previous post) we discussed application of makeup and the best tool for applying foundation. I am one of those people that wouldn’t be seen dead outside the house without foundation.
For the last year or so since their popularity grew I have used a beauty blender. However, on the course the teacher advised that she preferred to use a brush for a few reasons:
- They are easier to clean
- More hygienic
- The product is not soaked up into the brush and wasted like it is in on a beauty blender
- The brush is more precise.
She did say that beauty blenders did have their place, particularly for contouring, but to use as a makeup artist on other people they were a costly way to work.

Having used the brushes for a week now I am really pleased with my purchase! My favourite brush is the 104. I am now a convert to applying my makeup with a brush. This brush is perfect for applying foundation and buffing it into my skin to create a flawless finish. I love all of the other brushes too, and despite the fact that they are synthetically made (animal cruelty free)they work just as well as their equivalent!
