I've had long hair most of my life.
When I was 8 I could sit on it or wrap it around my neck like a scarf three times over.
Lately, a number of celebrities have opted for a shorter style (The Duchess of Canbridge, Taylor Swift, Emma Watson etc) and I had been pondering what it would be like to have short hair.
Whilst at the hairdressers for my pre-Christmas colour I nervously spoke to one of the stylists with whom I'd trusted to 'trim' my hair, (not cut it all off) over the last couple of years. After much debate and nervous excitment I decided to take the plunge and 'lob' it off.
To my surprise I was really happy to see my new hair take shape, and although a week later I miss the luscious length of my old hair, my new hair feels bolder, more mature and fresh.
Out with the old...
