Spray Tan Virgin

A couple of days ago I got my first ever spray tan after recommendation off a friend in preparation for my holiday.
As a complete virgin to this experience I googled what I should do the night before.
This consisted of removing the 2 months of hair growth on my legs since the weather got too cold to bare flesh, exfoliating my skin under I was redder than a lobster and moisturising my elbows, knees, ankles and hands.
At the salon I was met by a very nice girl who took me up to the dreaded room.
She told me where to stand and gave me some very undesirable black pants and a hairnet. Needless to say, I looked like a dinner lady.
Before she left the room I asked her what I should do with my top half, I'd brought a strapless bra with me. To which she replied, "usually people just go topless".
This left me feeling rather flustered. I have seen the human form in all its shapes and sizes in my job as a nurse and think nothing of it, but the shoe (or my my case bare foot) was on the other foot.
To begin with I felt quite shy and self-conscious. Im happy with my body but as a general rule I don't get my breasts out to strangers!
The girl however made pleasant small talk with me, talked to me about my forthcoming holiday and asked me to turn and lift my arms as required. She then dried me down with warm air and left me to air dry for 5 minutes.
She gave me a leaflet with after-care advice which advised me to:
- Leave the tan on at least 8 hours
- Do not exercise until after your first shower
- After showering daily apply moisturiser which is none oil based
- Do not exfoliate for at least 48 hours
The result I have to say is amazing. Ive gone from ghostly pale to summer bronze and it only took 20 minutes and £22!
My spray-tan virginity has gone and I will definitely be going again!
